Normative Scoring of Employee Satisfaction Surveys
All indexes and norms were updated in early 2009 and now include industry norms for more precise analyses. Norms were derived from the Job Descriptive Index (JDI) and related Job in General Scale (JIG), which survey employee job satisfaction using the gold standard in normative scoring indexes. The JDI, which has been recognized as the most-respected measure of job satisfaction in the world, was first introduced in 1969 and since then has been used by over 1,000 organizations in both the private and public sector. Revised Indexes: The scales and normative data used for employee satisfaction surveys were updated in 2009. The update includes revised response items (where applicable) and also creates first-time industry group norms in key vertical markets. This array of performance benchmarks allows clients to select the industry scoring group that best matches their employees' perceptions and gain a more precise understanding of the results of their employee satisfaction surveys in relation to others. |
